Sofiia Sytnyk is an ukrainian artist based in Berlin, working primarily with ceramics.
Practice
Her practice explores sculptural ceramics through hand-built vessels and organic forms. Working intuitively with clay, she introduces petal-like shapes, thorns, and structures that hold, surround, or protect the vessel.
Her work moves between softness and tension, vulnerability and protection. Familiar ceramic forms become ambiguous objects — part vessel, part body, part imagined organism.
